Pilot sessions at Wythenshawe: Macmillan Centre
There was a successful pilot set of sessions through March and April with good feedback from those attending. MacMillan are due to extend their premises in the hospital during the summer of 2017, and after that I hope to be going back there to offer Dru yoga.
For all sessions please wear loose comfortable clothing and don't eat for an hour and a half or so before the session. Please bring a mat and blanket if you can, though there are some spares.
Drop in or attend regularly.
I will be running a drop in meditation group at my flat (contact me for directions, it's in South Manchester) on Wednesday evenings from 7.30 to 9.30, startinglater in the year (2017). Suitable for beginners.
I am a member of The Heart of Manchester Sangha, part of the Zen buddhist Community of Interbeing following the teaching of Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh, which meets every Sunday night at the Unitarian church, and sometimes facilitate this group. If you would like to join us for meditation 7.30 to 9 p.m. you would be welcome. Payment is £2/3 donation towards room hire. It is fine to just turn up - session starts promptly at 7.30. p.m., ends at 9.30. Most people sit on chairs - no compulsory lotus postures!
